What Collaborators Usually Ask
How small is too small?
There's no hard floor. We've worked with artists who have 10,000 followers and brands with 8.5 million. What matters more is whether your audience has a buying behavior — do they share, save, and act on what you post? A 20k account with engaged followers will out-sell a 500k account with passive ones, and we've seen this play out numerous times.
Do you work with brands as well as individual creators?
Yes. About 60% of our drops are individual creators (illustrators, designers, athletes, photographers) and 40% are brands (running clubs, coffee shops, indie labels, sports clubs). The terms are the same, the process is the same. The only difference is that brand drops typically have larger run sizes.
Who owns the artwork after the drop?
You do. Always. We hold a 90-day exclusive use window from the drop date, after which the artwork reverts fully to you. We never claim ownership of the underlying IP, and our contract is clear about that. We'll send you the contract template before you sign anything.
What if my artwork doesn't translate to a sock?
Most artwork doesn't, in its original form. Our knit team translates source material into knit-appropriate vector files. We'll typically simplify line weights, reduce color counts, and adapt resolution. You approve every step. If something genuinely won't work, we'll suggest where it could go instead — tees, bags, etc.
Can I do a drop with multiple collaborators?
Yes — we've done several three-way collabs (artist × brand × NEU INK) and one four-way. The revenue share splits between collaborators based on whatever ratio you agree on, and we handle the bookkeeping. These take slightly longer to scope (extra 1–2 weeks) but they often perform best.
